THE BIGGEST SPOTTED AGA IN THE WORLD
Amongst the 25th birthday celebrations at Emma Bridgewater pottery factory in Stoke-on-Trent is a new addition to their visitors centre - a huge kitchen. There are big leather sofas comfortable enough to sink into for the afternoon to read the papers, and several kitchen tables where you can sit with your laptop and work, if you want to, as they have put in WiFi to make your day easier. There's a kitchen garden hidden in the middle of the factory, and you might get tomatoes from the greenhouse heated with recycled kiln heat, and in the kitchen you’ll probably find someone making a batch of flapjacks at the AGA. This is no ordinary AGA but the biggest spotted AGA in the world! It is truly unique, yes the only one; specially commissioned by Emma Bridgewater with the iconic polka dots executed by Dale Jones and his team in the Enamel Shop at Ketley. For the AGA addicts amongst you, this is a 4 oven 13 amp electric model with Integrated Module complete with AIMS. It is the centre piece of the new room and is complemented by Fired Earth tiles also specially designed by Emma Bridgewater. The AGA Shop Nantwich is the nearest AGA Shop and we can be sure of some joint activities in the future. Why not go and visit the coming together of two iconic British brands. Emma Bridgewater Factory Lichfield Street Stoke-on-Trent ST1 3EJ Mon to Sat - 9:30am to 5:30pm and Sun - 10am to 4pm
While you're in the Potteries you can also visit The Emma Bridgewater Retrospective Exhibition at The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery, Hanley 29th May to 26th September 2010.
