Christmas Syllabub

Serves 6
150ml medium white wine Finely grated rind of 1 orange 4 tbsp caster sugar 4-5 tbsp Grand Marnier or Cointreau 600ml double cream
Here’s how to make it......
Put the wine, orange rind and caster sugar in a large bowl. Stir to mix and leave to stand for about 1 hour near but not on top of the AGA. Add the Grand Marnier and gradually pour in the cream.
Whisk until the mixture stands in soft peaks. Pipe into bowls and refrigerate for 30 minutes to set. Allow to stand for 3-4 minutes before serving.
